QED Silver Micro is a high quality silver-plated figure eight speaker cable that draws on the same technology as Silver Anniversary cable but comes in a more conveniently sized package. It comprises two conductors arranged side by side in a traditional figure-of-eight geometry. Ideal for use with micro, midi and mini Systems, rear speaker Home Theatre and room to room wiring.
The cable works by maximising the cross sectional area, and therefore conductance, of the copper conductors, which minimises the voltage drop across the cable. This is further enhanced by the silver plating of the individual strands which reduces the resistance of the outer signal path which tends to be taken by higher frequencies.
By careful spacing of the individual conductors and meticulous attention to detail during the manufacturing process, the consistent construction geometry and Low-Density Polyethylene insulator ensures that the reactive capacitance and inductance of the cable remains low across the audio band.
