The Atlas Quadstar breaks with tradition in order to provide a four OFC conductor topology that offers a low inductance cable plus increased copper for the signal carrying conductors. Wired to XLR plugs, two conductors are used in parallel for the going signal and another two for the return. The screen which consits of an OFC braid and an aluminium mylar tape provides 100% coverage for the rejection of harmful RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) is wired to the ground pin, therefore the going, return and ground signals are entirely separate thereby reducing noise. The conductors are contained in a bed of cotton yarn in order to reduce the unwanted effects of microphony from macro vibrations.
The Quadstar offers the trade mark full bodied sound characteristic of Atlas cables, together with three dimensionality and a rock solid image focus.
