QED Revelation is a new speaker cable from QED that offers excellent value for money in the £15 per metre or less category.
Given that QED Revelation offers similar construction to QED XT400 which sells with an RRP of £22.50 you can see that the cable is keenly priced. More importantly it delivers with a big dynamic sound that will enhance the capabilities of mid range hi-fi systems.
How does it compare with Silver Anniversary XT?
We have been asked a number of times how this new cable stacks up against it's cheaper brother at three times the price and is it worth the difference. We tested it with XT to see how it came out.
To our ears QED Revelation more than justifies it's cost. XT has always sounded good for the money but this is in another league. It is as though the sound produced by XT has been unravelled to produce an uncluttered and much more lifelike rendition of the music.
It sounds more like a high-end speaker cable costing many times more, it is that coherent.

What HiFi 5 Stars November 2008: "Think of the Genesis Revelation as the Award-winning Silver Anniversary's big brother and you've got it pegged. The cable is brilliantly detailed, yet avoids the tonal brightness QED cables tend to favour. The midrange is nicely balanced and lovingly layered, and lower frequencies have plenty of heft combined with class-leading agility.
