The high quality conductor material used in this cable is large crystal OFC with a dense silver coating.

The Bay C5 Hybrid has been fully equipped with Linear Structured Carbon® (LSC) saturated layers which are standard in Van Den Hul's more expensive cable products. These layers dramatically improve transparancy and imaging. By electrically bridging any metal cystal defects a stable conductivity at the lowest signal levels is obtained.

Overall:

Van den hull The Bay C5 concluded my search for a cable between my CD and amp. I tried Nordost Blueheaven, Clearaudio Trident and Chord Chameleon, all great cables. The Nordost's vocal reproduction was second to none, however a little too bright for my Densen - Marantz SA7001 - Audiovector combo. Clearaudio sounded nice, too nice, while Chord was quite similar to Nordost. The VDH C5 produced a focused, well separated and musical sound, revealing new details in my CD collection The bass is powerful and well controlled and overall sound stage is wide. Generally I recommend VDH cables for bright systems.
